Born Anna L. Osteen on April 19, 1979, Anna was raised in the woods and waters of Ft. Pierce, Florida. Fascinated with C.S. Lewis' Chronicles of Narnia, Anna dreamed of finding a way into a world of her own. A childhood filled with SCUBA, snorkeling, horses, woods, and camping sparked her imagination and the beginnings of the world of Milana were planted in her mind.
As an adult Anna went on to marry, got paid to climb trees and rocks, and started a family of her own. The stories she had begun as a child suddenly began to resurface and Anna was seized with the need to write them down, but quickly realized the world of Milana could not be captured in a single book. The first Legend, The Pillar of Light, took an entire year to write, and a second year to edit, before Anna was ready to send it out into the world. She is currently working on her second Legend of Milana.
